Born and raised amid the dramatic peaks of the Hunza Valley, Mr. Nazim Ullah Baig developed a natural affinity for hospitality, adventure, and cultural preservation. Today, he stands as one of Pakistan’s leading tourism experts—an entrepreneur, environmental activist, and promoter of sustainable travel. After studying Tourism & Hospitality in the United States and completing a Master's in Cultural Heritage & Tourism Management, Mr. Baig returned to Pakistan with a vision: to build a tourism platform that would introduce the world to the country’s unmatched landscapes and living heritage. This vision led to the creation of Discovery Pakistan, now a respected tour operator serving both domestic and international travelers. Witnessing rapid urbanization in his hometown, he became an early advocate for eco-friendly tourism. His passion resulted in the creation of Offto Resort Karimabad—northern Pakistan’s first eco-friendly resort, designed to protect the fragile environment of Hunza. His global presence is equally impactful. As an ambassador of the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Forum, Mr. Baig has showcased Pakistan at major tourism expos in the UK, USA, Japan, Thailand, Dubai, and European Countries . His conservation efforts include the notable K2 Cleanup initiative conducted with the support of the U.S. Embassy and environmental awareness programs developed with Karakoram International University. Mr. Baig also contributes significantly to heritage preservation. Working closely with renowned archaeologists, he has supported research and conservation of ancient sites and artifacts across the region. With strong ties to international journalists and media networks from Europe, Asia, and North America, he continues to promote Pakistan’s cultural and historical richness on the global stage. A believer in peace and dialogue, he champions interfaith tourism, aiming to connect people of diverse faiths by opening pathways to sacred Sikh, Hindu, and Buddhist sites. His long-term mission is to inspire a more tolerant, peaceful, and environmentally responsible future generation.
